How PorchTalk works

1. They call the porch. Your storyteller dials a regular phone number from any phone. Troy Burns greets them by name. No apps, no passwords, no computers — if they can make a phone call, they can do this.

2. Troy asks one good question. About the house they grew up in, how they met their sweetheart, what their mama used to say. Then he listens — as long as they want to talk, as often as they want to call.

3. Stories become chapters. Each visit is kept word for word — the sayings, the laughter, the dialect — and written into memoir chapters delivered to your family by email.

4. The whole family listens. You invite them by phone number; each person gets their own private link. Grandkids in three states, all hearing the same stories.

The seal. Some stories aren't ready for everybody. Your storyteller can say "seal it" and that story stays just between them and the porch — forever, or until they've gone home. Their stories belong to them. That's not a slogan; it's how the system is built.

Their voice, preserved. Every recording is kept in their own voice, so a grandchild not born yet can someday hear them tell it.
